SQ4R: A Memory Improvement Mantra!

         Today when we think about building a good career which can give us a nice post, good income, status, security etc.,we must go through various entrance exams or compititive exams. These exams gives us lots of things, alot experience, but we have to work harder n harder to pass them. We have to go through a vast syllabus, have to do maximum study in minimum time. Here the question arises, 'how to keep all the minute details in mind from this vast syllabus?'.          Some of us use some 'stupid shortcuts' for solving this problem. But some smart people use some 'smart technique' for this. Memory improvement methods are some of them. In these methods SQ4R is the most popular, simple, and commonly used method. In this method 6 simple steps are there, which helps us to keep all the important things in our long term memory in a constuct form. Tese steps are easy to follow, and helpful to the student and job seekers of all age groups. These steps are as follow-SQ4R stands for Survey,Question, Read, Recite, (W)Rite, and Review.S: 'S' stands for Survey. Scan the study material first. Scan the book or notes from front page to last page, read titles,heading, main points, and introduction. This is basement of your construction of memory.Q: 'Q' is for Question. After surveying the material Question your self 'what the concept given in the book or notes?' 'What is purpose of studying this book?' What important points are given in the book?'
